【摘要】:ThedeterminationoftheboilingrangedistributionofgasolinebyGCdistillationprovidesaninsightintothecompositionofthecomponentsfromwhichthegasolinehasbeenblended.Thisinsightalsoprovidesessentialdatanecessarytocalculatethevaporpressureofgasoline,whichhasbeentraditionallydeterminedbyTestMethodD323.Inaddition,theTestMethodD86distillationcurvecanbepredictedusingGCDdata.SeeAnnexA1.TheGCDmethodfacilitatesonlinecontrolsattherefinery,anditsresultsofferimprovedmeansofdescribingseveralcarperformanceparameters.Theseparametersinclude:(1)car-startingindex,(2)vapor-lockindexorvapor-liquidratio,and(3)warm-upindex.Thecar-startingandvapor-lockindexeshavebeenfoundtobemostlyaffectedbythefrontendoftheTestMethodD86distillationcurve(uptoabout200x00B0;F(93x00B0;C)).Thewarm-upindexisaffectedbythemiddleandtoalesserextentbythebackendoftheTestMethodD86curve,thatis,thetemperaturescorrespondingtothe50to90%offrange.Sincetheboilingrangedistributionprovidesfundamentalinformationoncomposition,animprovedexpressionfortheaboveperformanceparametersmaybeworkedout,evenwhentheboilingrangedistributioncurveisnotsmooth.Currently,carperformancecannotbeassessedaccuratelyundersuchconditions.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftheboilingrangedistributionofgasolineandgasolinecomponents.Thistestmethodisapplicabletopetroleumproductsandfractionswithafinalboilingpointof500x00B0;F(260x00B0;C)orlowerasmeasuredbythistestmethod.1.2ThistestmethodisdesignedtomeasuretheentireboilingrangeofgasolineandgasolinecomponentswitheitherhighorlowReidvaporpressureandiscommonlyreferredtoasgaschromatography(GC)distillation(GCD).1.3Thistestmethodhasnotbeenvalidatedforgasolinescontainingoxygenatedcompounds(forexample,alcoholsorethers).1.4Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecifichazardstatements,seeNote9and7.2.
